Cedlon operates through Marketplaces embodied by four (4) trading platforms:
Marketplace is a separate for each Manufacturer we cooperate, virtual commerce area that Cedlon facilitates through the Marketplaces application.
There is restricted access to each Marketplace, depending on each Manufacturer. Inside the Marketplace you have access to the Bids , Direct and Promotions of this Manufacturer and you can purchase products and/or claim a Bid.
There is also Cedlon’s Marketplace which is compiled by products that originate from Manufacturers that do not have constant flow of products or have comparatively small inventories.
Bids
Bids is, the name of our B2B bidding platform. There are two major kinds of bids you can participate and claim: “One-Item bids” and “Multi-Item bids”
One Item bids are compiled with only one product represented in full detail and the bidding erupts on the price of the product with a pre-defined, from Cedlon, Step that raises the price one Step at a time.
One Item bids have a Starting Price, Step and finally a Target Price. To ensure your claiming of the bid you must be the highest bidder with a bid equal to or higher than the Target Price. If you are the highest bidder but your bid is below the Target Price, the Manufacturer reserves the right to decline your offer.
Multi-Item bids are compiled with more than one product each one represented in full detail and the bidding erupts on the worth of the bid with a pre-defined Step that raises the worth of the bid one Step at a time.
Multi-Item bids have a Starting Worth, Step and a Target Worth. To ensure your claiming of the bid you must be the highest bidder with a bid equal to or higher than the Target Worth. If you are the highest bidder but your bid is below the Target Worth, the Manufacturer reserves the right to decline your offer.
After claiming, and get mail of confirmation that the bid is the highest one you receive the relative Pro-forma Invoice from Cedlon and proceed to payment within maximum 3 days.
Direct
Direct is the name of our online shop. Inside Direct you can find the part of the Inventory available as direct sales with analytical information per item such as condition , packing, quantity, MOQ , location.
Through Direct you add the quantities of the products you would like to purchase to your basket and check out normally with an order. All products are first in-first serve and, obviously, till exhaustion of quantity.
After confirmation of an order you receive the relative Proforma Invoice from Cedlon and proceed to payment.
Promotions
Promotions is the term for special deals that you can come across in a Marketplace.
Those kind of deals can be excess stock but also special promotions through the Marketing department of the Manufacturer.
They are compiled by only one product on very limited quantity. The purchasing method is the same as “Direct”.
Offline
Offline is the name of any trading procedure that may take place outside the website. You will be able to find trace of that action online on your Profile for an accurate tracking of your activity inside Cedlon.
