General FAQs

1. Why should I purchase products from Cedlon ?
Products that are offered through Cedlon represent excess inventory of A-list manufacturers.  You have the chance to purchase those products and generate much greater than usual margin while complementing you product portfolio
2. Why Cedlon has a Marketplace while is not a Manufacturer?
Cedlon’s Marketplace is compiled by products that originate from Manufacturers that do not have constant flow of products or have comparatively small inventories.
3. Why may I not have access to one or more Marketplaces?
Because the manufacturer does not allows sales of his excess inventory at your area.
4. Can access to one or more Marketplaces be removed?
There are two main reason that access to Marketplaces can be removed.
a.  First and foremost if a customer claims a bid or confirms an order through a Marketplace or an offline deal and does not deposit the necessary funds between the agreed time space, access to all Marketplaces is removed and cannot be regained. Failure to deposit the necessary funds due to Force Majeure and the rare occasion of an accidental purchase are excluded.
b. Some Manufacturers may remove you access to their Marketplace due to inactivity. Of course this is up to the Manufacturer alone.

Products FAQ

1. What is the condition of the products sold?
The condition both of package and of product varies from retail new  to broken customer return and everything in between. You are in detail informed of the condition of each product on every deal beforehand and it’s absolutely your decision to proceed or not with a purchase.
2. Are the products genuine?
All of the products offered, originate from the warehouse of the manufacturer. Yes the products are 100% genuine.
3. Do products have a warranty service?
All products are sold As-is without any warranty service.

Bids FAQ

1. In what time zone do bids erupt?
Everything inside Cedlon website including bids work in GMT.
2. Can I participate in different bids at the same time?
You can participate in all of the bids in all the Marketplaces you have access.
3. Is there a notification for new bids?
You will receive an automatic e-mail as soon as  a new bid goes live as well as reminder at 12 hours and 1 hour before closing of the bid.
4. Are there notifications for the bids that I participate?
You receive an automatic e-mail either confirming that you are currently the highest bidder , or that your highest bid got outbid.  Also there are notifications online on your profile.
5. What happens if a bid closed and I am the highest bidder with a bid above or equal to Target Price?
You receive an automated e-mail with confirmation of you claiming that bid. The next  working day you will receive the relevant Cedlon Proforma Invoice.
6. What happens if a bid closes and I am the highest bidder with a bid below the Target Price.
You will receive an automated e-mail confirming that you are the highest bidder but you have not yet claimed the bid. Between 72 hours we will inform you if the Manufacturer declines your bid. Otherwise you will receive the relevant Cedlon Proforma Invoice.
7. On Multi-Item Bids can I select the Invoicing price of each product on the Proforma Invoice that will be sent after claiming of a bid?
Cedlon , by default, divides the worth analogically to each product. You can on the relevant table inside the bid the prices you would like to be invoiced to summing up to the claiming worth.
8. Is there the possibility to buy-out a bid and not waiting for it to close?
Yes there is id the bid has the Buy-Out feature. By committing to pay the predesigned amount of the buy out you can purchase a bid immediately.
9. Is there an automatic way to participate in bids?
Yes there is the feature "Auto-Bid", in which you state the maximum amount you are willing to pay for the designated bid and our system automatically increases your bid by one Step every time you get outbid by another customer, till you are the highest bidder at the lowest possible amount. "Auto-bid"  automatically stops if the value of the bid exceeds your pre-defined maximum amount. In that case you can bid again but it has to be manually or with a new defined "Auto-bid". Tracking and e-mail confirmations for the tracing of the "Auto-Bid" feature are the same as if you would put a bid manually.  

Direct

1. Is there a minimum order amount for the Direct?
No , however there are minimum order quantities per each product.
2. Can a confirmed order of Direct be canceled afterwards?
No. A confirmed order is treated a claimed bid so you will receive the relevant Proforma Invoice the next working day and you must proceed to payment.  

Finance

1. When should I pay my order?
Payment of the full amount should erupt up to three(3) working days after receipt of the relevant  Proforma Invoice.
2. How do I pay a Cedlon Proforma Invoice?
All payments are done through wire transfer only. We accept coinage of Euro(€) and USD($).
3. What are the Payment Terms for working with Cedlon?
All deals are exclusively and non-negotiable  paid TT in Advance.
4. Why do I have to pay TT in Advance?
All of the products offered, through Bids ,Direct  and offline deals are First In-First Serve. This applies to financial terms. In other words, your claiming of a bid , or confirmation of an online or offline deal is equal to a deposit towards us and you should treat it as such.
5. Is it safe to pay TT in Advance to Cedlon?
Our foundations are transparency and mutual trust. If we believe that a customer would be unreliable to his statements or actions we simply do not deal with him. If our customers had any doubt about the quality of our services they would not deal with us either. Also we offer 24/7 complete  online and offline step-by –step reporting of each and every order so that you can be informed of anything that may concern  you regarding each deal.
6. When do I receive an Invoice from Cedlon ?
The next  working day after pick up of products from the Manufacturer’s warehouse.
7. How many days after payment will I be able to pick up the products?
Varies for each Manufacturer but a 10 to 15 days on average.
8. Is there a chance to receive different products or different quantities than  those agreed and paid?
The percentage of fault for that kind of logistics centers is slim to none. On such a  case you can contact us 24/7  and we solve any legitimate problem the next working day. Please note that if you face such an issue you must refer it immediately.
9. If the final destination of the products is outside EU , who is responsible for issuing the necessary custom documents?
Custom Documents are entirely your responsibility if you pick up the products. If you use EXW but with our own forwarder then we can issue Custom Documents. We co-operate we DSV , Schenker and TNT.
